There were many twists & turns in the storyline, all unexpected. His writing is always fast-paced, & gathers his reader’s interest immediately from the start of the book. It’s full of well-developed characters, filled with surprises, minor or major, and well-maintained suspense to keep you going. ![]() Far from being predictable or formulaic, this story has many surprising twists and turns, and characters with secrets and depths that provide for some very satisfying revelations. With excellent pacing and outstanding character development, this book will keep you interested and wanting more. It is a truly unique and compelling read. It is another excellent book from a great author. If you want a meaningful story with deep characters that are as flawed as they are heroic, you will enjoy this read. ![]() Repeat by Kylie Scott is a great choice if you want an interesting story with love and war. What it says on the tin: Two cavemen living in prehistoric Ohio get into shenanigans. Due to the first book being removed from publication, it is likely that it is cancelled. Although, nothing was officially confirmed. ![]() Since the book has been in development hell for several years, there have been rumors that it was cancelled. It was teased to be "coming soon-ish" on the last page of its predecessor, although no release date has been announced. We are told very early on what they are suspected to be, but honestly, the description wasn’t really important, as they are constantly referred to as Them, and they’re all the more creepy for it. I mean, creatures that are referred to as “They/Them” and eat humans? They could pretty much be anything: demons, zombies, monsters. In the After is definitely an interesting story, and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. When I saw In the After available on Edelweiss, I requested it, even though it was out of my normal genre.
